Apartamento Málaga Sol Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartamento Málaga Sol on Alameda de Capuchinos, you immediately get that “this is exactly where I want to be” feeling. The building sits right in the heart of Málaga Centro, and honestly, the location alone makes this three-star property punch way above its weight. I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that makes Málaga special — the cathedral bells become your morning alarm clock, and the scent of fresh churros drifts up from the street cafés below.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to Picasso’s birthplace in about five minutes, but you’re also tucked away enough that you won’t be dealing with the main tourist crowds right outside your window. The Alameda de Capuchinos is one of those streets that locals actually use, so you’ll find proper Spanish life happening around you. There’s a fantastic little market just around the corner where I grabbed the best jamón ibérico, and the walk to Málaga’s beaches takes maybe fifteen minutes if you’re feeling leisurely about it.
The Apartment Experience
What sets Apartamento Málaga Sol apart is that it actually feels like staying in someone’s well-appointed home rather than a sterile hotel room. The apartments are thoughtfully laid out — you’ve got proper kitchen facilities (which is brilliant if you want to prepare some of those market finds), and the living spaces have enough character to make you want to linger over morning coffee. The furnishings strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and Spanish warmth, and you know what? The Wi-Fi actually works reliably, which isn’t always a given in older Málaga buildings.
Practical Comforts
The kitchenette situation is genuinely useful — not just a mini-fridge and a prayer, but actual cooking facilities that make sense. Air conditioning works well (crucial during Málaga summers), and the beds are properly comfortable. I particularly appreciated the attention to details like having enough electrical outlets and decent lighting for reading. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with good water pressure that doesn’t leave you standing under a sad trickle after a day of exploring the city.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.7 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. Couples especially seem to appreciate the intimate scale and the romantic potential of having your own little Spanish apartment in the city center. You can pop out for tapas whenever the mood strikes, then retreat to your own space when you need to recharge. The value proposition is solid too — you’re getting prime Málaga real estate at three-star prices, which feels like winning a small lottery. Plus, the staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you have what you need, which goes a long way in a city where tourism can sometimes feel pretty impersonal.

Really enjoyed our stay at the apartment, the light coming in especially was really nice and the mountain views were stunning. The place was very clean and well decorated and provided everything we needed to cook, clean and live comfortably.

Fab little apartment. Super clean. Just perfect for the two night stay in Málaga centre. Was a nice walk in to the city. And a bus stop is out side the apartment. Taxi to airport was around €15 using the Uber app. Would definitely be returning.
