But here’s the thing — despite being so well-connected, you’re not stuck in some soulless transit zone. The Cruz de Humilladero area has really come alive in recent years, and you can walk to the historic center in about 15 minutes. I mean, having that kind of accessibility while still being in the heart of things is pretty rare. Plus, there’s parking right at the hotel, which anyone who’s driven in Spanish cities will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Room Experience

The room itself exceeded my expectations — and I’ll be honest, I was a bit skeptical about a hotel so close to a train station. But the soundproofing is excellent, and those beds everyone raves about? They’re not kidding. I actually slept better here than I have in some much pricier places. The design is clean and modern without being cold, with these floor-to-ceiling windows that flood everything with natural light. The bathroom feels spacious too, which is always a pleasant surprise in European hotels.

Breakfast & Dining

The buffet breakfast is where this place really shines, actually. It’s not just your standard continental spread — they’ve got a proper selection of local specialties alongside the international options. I particularly loved that they include some Andalusian touches that give you a real taste of the region. The restaurant area has this airy feel with plenty of space, so even when it’s busy, it doesn’t feel cramped or rushed. You can take your time with your coffee and plan your day without feeling like you need to hurry along.

  The hotel is situated directly next to Maria-Zambrano railway station, so this was our natural choice when arriving back in Malaga from our trip to Granada, whereupon we were only staying the night before flying back to the UK.
  We liked the location of the hotel as there was easy access to the rest of the town either by walking or bus.
  The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very good.
  We were luckily upgraded to a Superior Premium room on the 6th floor, which was comfortable with a superb en-suite shower.
  We liked the novelty slide from the 1st floor to the bar, but did feel like it should really have had a safety mat at the bottom, just in case people using it went off the end.
  Breakfast was good with a lot of choice.
  We never had the opportunity to use the restaurant during our visit.
  All in all, we would consider using this hotel again if visiting Malaga in the future.

  Excellent location when returning to Málaga from Cordoba by train. Easy walk into the old town and the marina. Then when heading to the airport we had the option of both the train and easily available taxis for our early departure.
  The air conditioning/ heating in the room was the best I have ever encountered in a hotel. Very easy to regulate – and I could reach it from bed and cool things down when I awoke hot in the middle of the night without turning the light on.
