C103 – Sunny Terrace, Old Town Views Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to C103 – Sunny Terrace, Old Town Views on Calle Carretería, you immediately get that authentic Málaga vibe — this isn’t some sterile chain hotel, but rather a three-star property that actually feels connected to the city around it. The building sits right in the thick of things in Málaga Centro, and honestly, the location alone makes this place worth considering. You’re literally steps away from the cathedral and all those winding old town streets that make exploring on foot such a pleasure.

The Terrace Experience

The name gives it away, but that sunny terrace really is the star here. I mean, when you’re sipping your morning coffee looking out over the old town rooftops, you sort of forget about any minor quirks the place might have. The views stretch across those classic Andalusian buildings with their terracotta tiles, and if you time it right during golden hour — well, you’ll understand why couples rate this spot so highly for romantic getaways. It’s one of those simple pleasures that makes a trip memorable.

Location Perks

Here’s what I love about staying right here — you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Málaga’s historic center. The Picasso Museum is maybe a five-minute stroll, and you’re close enough to hear the evening buzz from the tapas bars without being kept awake by it. That excellent location score of 9.5 isn’t just marketing speak; you really do save time and money on transport when you’re this centrally placed. Plus, there’s something nice about ducking back to your room for a siesta break when the afternoon sun gets intense.

The Practical Side

Look, this is a three-star place, so set your expectations accordingly — you’re not getting marble bathrooms or turndown service. But the rooms are clean and comfortable enough, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city, that’s what matters. The fourth floor location (4ª Planta) means you might need to climb some stairs, which is pretty typical for these older buildings in the centro histórico. The trade-off is those elevated views that make the terrace experience so special.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back — and especially draws couples — is that perfect combination of authentic location and that terrace space where you can actually relax. You’re not just staying near Málaga’s old town; you’re living in it for a few days. The 7.3 rating reflects what you’d expect: solid value without any major surprises, good or bad. It’s the kind of place where you’ll spend your evenings planning the next day’s adventures while watching the sun set over the city, and that’s exactly what a good Málaga base should offer.

To book a hotel in Malaga during Malaga Fair, visitors plan ahead to balance caseta dancing with beachfront siestas.

Reviews of C103 – Sunny Terrace, Old Town Views

  • Jenni from United Kingdom (8/10)

We had a lovely 3-night stay (4 ladies in 50’s) at the apartment and I considered good value for money, especially as the location is perfect to explore the old town on foot and visit the many museums and restaurants.
The apartment is spacious and is on the 4th floor (with lift). It is on a busy street, so you must expect some noise however 2/3 bedroom are located at the rear of the property, so we had no issues with noise. It comes with a large lounge/dinner located at the front, ideal for getting together. Besides breakfast we ate out, so we weren’t concerned with the kitchen furniture being a bit tired, the kettle, toaster and microwave all looked new. All rooms were clean on arrival with fresh bedding and towels.
The terrace was a great place to relax after a day’s sightseeing and was one of the main reasons we chose the apartment. Unfortunately, we had a slight accident as the parasol blew off after a night of heavy winds (if it’s replaced make sure you close when not in use). Overall, I would recommend.
