Casa Chinitas Holiday Homes Overview
First Impressions
Walking down Pasaje Chinitas for the first time, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from Casa Chinitas Holiday Homes. The narrow pedestrian street feels almost hidden from the main tourist flow, but that’s actually part of its charm. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Málaga‘s historic center, and you know what? The location really is everything here. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Cathedral and Picasso Museum, but tucked into this quiet little passage that most tourists just walk past.
The Space
These aren’t your typical hotel rooms — each apartment feels more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed city pad. The one I stayed in had this gorgeous blend of modern amenities and traditional Andalusian touches that didn’t feel forced or touristy. The kitchen was actually functional (not just for show), which came in handy when I picked up fresh produce from the nearby Mercado de Atarazanas. Honestly, having that extra space made such a difference, especially after long days wandering around the city.
Location Magic
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in the absolute center of everything, but Pasaje Chinitas itself stays surprisingly peaceful. I could walk to Calle Larios in about two minutes, hit the port area in five, and reach the Alcazaba in maybe ten. But when I came back in the evenings, the street had this lovely quiet energy. There’s actually a famous flamenco tablao right on the same passage (that’s where the street gets its name), so you get this authentic cultural vibe without the chaos of the main tourist strips.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here feel special — I’d grab coffee from one of the little cafés nearby and watch the city wake up from my apartment window. The staff was genuinely helpful with local recommendations, not just the obvious tourist stuff. They pointed me toward this incredible restaurant tucked behind the Cathedral that I never would have found otherwise. Having my own space meant I could come and go as I pleased, which is perfect when you want to experience Málaga’s late dinner culture without worrying about hotel curfews or crowded lobbies.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s that rare combination of prime location, thoughtful design, and genuine local character that’s hard to find in city centers. Couples especially seem to appreciate the intimate setting — I can see why it would be perfect for a romantic getaway. You get the independence of your own place with the security and services of a quality hotel. Plus, there’s something really satisfying about telling people you stayed on Pasaje Chinitas — it sounds like you know something they don’t, which, honestly, you do.
Malaga’s hotels wrap travelers in beachfront hammocks, art-house cinemas, and concierge-led Caminito del Rey excursions.

Perfect location in the middle of the old town area, very stylish new and clean apartment with everything you need (washing machine, coffee, fridge etc.). Our host David was very friendly and helpful.

What stood out most about our stay was the exceptional host. He truly made our experience great. Despite some early morning noise due to remodelling in a neighbouring building—something entirely beyond his control—he went out of his way to apologise to us personally and profusely.
His attentiveness and genuine care were evident throughout our stay. Whether it was advice about local attractions in Malaga, tips on where to park, or assistance with anything related to the accommodation, he was always available immediately and happy to help.
His hospitality made our stay truly special.Jim from United Kingdom (10/10)
