Habitación González Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Habitación González, I’ll be honest — it’s not what you’d expect from the name alone. This three-star gem sits tucked away in Puerto de la Torre, and there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup. The fact that parking is completely free immediately caught my attention (trust me, after driving around Málaga’s city center, you’ll appreciate this more than you know). It feels like one of those places locals might recommend to their visiting relatives — comfortable, well-run, but without any unnecessary fuss.
Location & Neighborhood
Puerto de la Torre is actually a pretty smart choice if you want to experience Málaga without being right in the tourist thick of things. You’re about 15 minutes from the historic center, but honestly, the neighborhood has its own charm — there are some excellent local restaurants within walking distance, and I noticed quite a few Spanish families choosing this area for weekend getaways. The location scores consistently high with couples, and I can see why. It’s quiet enough for a romantic escape but still connected to everything you’d want to see in the region.
The Accommodation Experience
The rooms at Habitación González strike that perfect balance between comfort and practicality. Everything feels thoughtfully arranged — not fancy, but genuinely comfortable in a way that makes you want to kick off your shoes and actually relax. The beds are solid (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I really appreciated was how clean everything felt, and the little touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience rather than just going through the motions.
Practical Advantages
Here’s where this place really shines — it just works without any drama. That free parking I mentioned? It’s not some tiny spot you have to squeeze into, but actual proper parking that doesn’t stress you out. The staff seems to genuinely know the area well, so when you ask for restaurant recommendations, you get real answers instead of the usual tourist trap suggestions. I mean, when a place consistently rates 8.8 from guests, there’s usually a good reason, and in this case, it’s because they’ve figured out how to handle the basics really well.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to Habitación González is probably the same thing that impressed me — it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. You’re not paying for amenities you won’t use, but you’re also not sacrificing comfort or cleanliness. The combination of that solid location rating, the free parking, and the consistently high guest scores tells you everything you need to know. It’s the kind of place where you can focus on exploring Málaga instead of worrying about your accommodation, and honestly, that’s worth quite a bit when you’re traveling.

Our stay was excellent! We had a late-night flight, and the late check-in option was a lifesaver. The process was user-friendly, and everything was explained very clearly, which made check-in stress-free. Additionally, the morning treats were a delightful surprise and really added to our experience. Highly recommended!

It is a perfect place for solo traveller. Really small room and private bathroom just for yourself. Bed was really comfortable and quite big as a place for one person. You can also make a coffee in the coffee machine – coffee, tea, some sweets as a welcome gift are free. That was really nice and helpful when I get to the room in the evening. Host always helped me and asked for my questions. Place is really close to bus stop which takes you to the city Center.

Check in was easy, eventhough we arrived very late at night. The water was hot and I was very grateful for all the little snacks and water left for us in the property
