Larios Premium Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Larios Premium Apartments on Calle Betsaida, you immediately get that “this is going to work out well” feeling. The building has a clean, modern look without being flashy — honestly, it’s exactly what you want when you’re looking for a comfortable base in Málaga. The three-star rating might sound modest, but don’t let that fool you. This place punches above its weight, and the 8.3 guest rating tells you everything you need to know about how people actually feel once they’ve stayed here.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about the Cruz de Humilladero area — it’s one of those neighborhoods that locals know is great, but tourists often overlook. You’re close enough to the historic center that you can walk there (about 15 minutes to the cathedral), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the crowds and noise every single night. The couples who stay at Larios Premium Apartments consistently rate the location 8.5 out of 10, and I get why. You’ve got authentic tapas bars within a few blocks, a proper supermarket nearby, and excellent bus connections when you don’t feel like walking.
The Apartment Experience
What sets this place apart is that you’re getting actual apartment living, not just a hotel room with a mini-fridge. The spaces feel like someone’s well-maintained city apartment — you know, the kind where everything works and there’s enough room to actually unpack your suitcase. The kitchens are functional (I mean really functional, not just for show), which is perfect when you want to grab some jamón and cheese from the local market and have a proper breakfast on your terrace. The Wi-Fi is solid, the air conditioning works well during those brutal Andalusian summers, and honestly, the whole setup just makes sense for travelers who want a bit more space and independence.
Neighborhood Insights
Cruz de Humilladero isn’t the postcard-pretty part of Málaga, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’ll find yourself shopping where locals shop, eating where they eat, and getting a real sense of how the city actually works. There’s a fantastic bakery about two blocks away that opens early (perfect for those morning flights), and the evening paseo culture is strong here — you’ll see families out walking after dinner, kids playing in the small plazas. It’s the kind of neighborhood where you start to feel like a temporary resident rather than just another tourist passing through.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
The 8.6 location rating from recent guests isn’t just a number — it reflects something real about how this place works for different types of travelers. Couples love it because they can have romantic dinners at home with ingredients from the local market, then walk to the old town for drinks. Business travelers appreciate the reliable internet and the fact that they can actually spread out and work. Families like having the space and the option to do laundry without paying hotel prices. Larios Premium Apartments delivers that sweet spot of comfort, location, and value that makes you think “we should definitely stay here again” as you’re packing to leave.
Exploring Malaga layers contemporary museums, Moorish castles, and palm gardens humming with flamenco.

Reviews of Larios Premium Apartments
Newall from United Kingdom (9/10)
Location – 5 minutes walk from bus and train station but outside the city centre.
Raza from Sweden (7/10)
This is a suitable property for short stays though. It is located close to the bus terminal and train station. Close to Playa de Huelin Beach. There are many cafes, restaurants and shops around. Supermarket Lidl is just around the corner. Host Paula was very nice, communicative and responsive. The property itself was neat and clean, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and shower with hot and cold water, a small kitchen with basic amenities and air conditioning.
David from Czech Republic (8/10)

Nancy from Canada (8/10)

Blanca our host was very responsive to all our inquires, answering promptly and accurately. The apartment was modern and well appointed. She arranged a taxi to the airport for us at 4:15am, which was very helpful.

The apartment is cute, clean, and nicely arranged. The kitchen was well equipped, including a few treats and water which were a nice touch. Excellent location, central, and with easy access to any type of transportation. The hosts are nice and very responsive.

I spent eight nights at this accommodation. The host is super-friendly, available and helpful. I arrived at 23, and the host's use of WhatsApp to guide me into the property was a thoughtful and efficient touch. She is exceptionally kind and welcoming.
You will encounter a turnkey condition studio with a bottle of wine, free tea/coffee, and water bottles in the fridge for free, which are generous and home-like. Additionally, you can adjust the temperature of your unit.
A well-equipped and clean kitchen has whatever you need. The house is in excellent condition and modern. According to Google Maps, it is conveniently located just 450 meters from the La Union metro station, 11 minutes walk to Málaga María Zambrano Train Station, and 20 minutes walk to the Malaga cathedral. LIDL & ALDI are within walking distance. Also, don't forget to buy fresh fruits from the local store just a few meters from the right side of the entrance.Lenka from Czech Republic (9/10)
The apartment is well equipped, tasty and settled in the calm environment. What I appreciated the most was the location – near the main Malaga bus and train station. It gives the opportunity to travel comfortably around Malaga to "pueblos blancos" in Andalusia. The owner is super supportive and communicates immediately when needed. There are many shops and supermarkets, cafeterias and restaurants around.

Spacious room with good amenities.
The place was quiet with good proximity to the railway station.
