Letmalaga Sweet wells Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Letmalaga Sweet wells on Calle Pozos Dulces, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked into one of those narrow streets in Málaga Centro where locals actually live and work. The building itself has that authentic Andalusian charm without trying too hard, and honestly, the name makes more sense once you’re there (pozos dulces literally means “sweet wells”). This three-star spot doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not, which I actually found refreshing after seeing so many over-polished hotels.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re genuinely in the heart of historic Málaga, but on a street that doesn’t get overrun with tour groups. I mean, you can walk to the Cathedral in about eight minutes, hit the Picasso Museum in ten, but when you come back in the evening, it feels like you’re staying in a real neighborhood. There’s a little café around the corner where I grabbed coffee each morning, and the locals there were chatting in rapid-fire Spanish — you know you’re in the right spot when that happens.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but thoughtfully designed, with those traditional high ceilings that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside. The air conditioning worked perfectly (crucial in summer), and I appreciated the modern bathroom — sometimes these older buildings can be hit or miss with the plumbing, but everything functioned smoothly. The bed was comfortable enough, though if you’re over six feet tall, you might find it a bit snug. What really won me over was the attention to cleanliness and the little touches like decent lighting for reading.
Practical Considerations
Let’s talk logistics — parking isn’t included, but honestly, you don’t want a car in this part of town anyway. The narrow streets weren’t designed for modern vehicles, and everything worth seeing is walkable. The staff speaks enough English to handle check-in smoothly, though brushing up on basic Spanish phrases definitely helps. Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay, which matters when you’re trying to navigate or make dinner reservations. One thing to note: these old buildings can be a bit noisy, so if you’re a light sleeper, pack earplugs.
Why Guests Love It
The 7.9 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s that sweet spot where location, value, and authenticity intersect. Couples particularly seem to appreciate the intimate scale and romantic neighborhood setting, and I can see why. You’re not paying for amenities you won’t use, but you are getting an authentic Málaga experience in a spot that feels genuinely local. The recent guests who rated the location highly weren’t exaggerating — being able to explore the historic center on foot, then retreat to a quiet street for the night, really does make a difference in how you experience the city.
Apartments in Malaga suit remote workers with fiber internet lofts, coworking terraces, and Mercado Central lunches.

The location of this studio is the best that I could choose. The studio was very suitable for us. We wanted something to be in the historical centre, to be nice and very clean and Letmalaga Sewet Wells meet all that requirements.
I was a little bit worried when I booked this place because all that negative comments. But the studio was luminous and clean, the sheets was impeccably, the building is very nice and looks refurbished. There was some works in the building, but we didn't hear anything to be done when we were there.Keeks from United Kingdom (7/10)
The apartment is all about location, 5 minute walk to the main shops and restaurant area, with a further 5 minutes to the marina. Good views of the hills to the back of the city from outside area
