Málaga Apartamentos – Jinetes, 13 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Málaga Apartamentos – Jinetes, 13, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it’s tucked into a residential building on a quiet street that feels refreshingly local. But that’s exactly what makes this three-star property special. The entrance is understated, almost like you’re visiting a friend’s place rather than checking into a hotel. Once inside, the apartments are clean and functional with that European efficiency I’ve come to appreciate, though don’t expect flashy lobbies or marble floors.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s where this place really shines — the location is honestly fantastic. You’re right in Málaga Centro, which means you can walk to pretty much everything that matters. I mean, the Cathedral is maybe a seven-minute stroll, and the Picasso Museum is even closer. What I love about Jinetes street is that it feels authentically Spanish — you’ll hear neighbors chatting from their balconies and smell someone’s lunch cooking. It’s residential enough to give you that local vibe, but you’re still just steps from the main tourist attractions. Plus, having private parking available is actually a big deal in this part of the city, where finding a spot can be a nightmare.
The Apartment Experience
These aren’t hotel rooms — they’re proper apartments with kitchenettes, which changes the whole dynamic of your stay. The spaces are practical rather than luxurious, but everything works as it should. You’ve got a decent-sized fridge, basic cooking facilities, and enough counter space to prepare simple meals. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathrooms are clean with good water pressure (something you don’t always get in older Spanish buildings). What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night — even though you’re in the city center, Jinetes street doesn’t get the late-night foot traffic of the main tourist areas.
Daily Life & Practicalities
Having a kitchen means you can actually live like a local for a few days. There’s a small supermarket about two blocks away, and the morning routine of picking up fresh bread and coffee feels wonderfully Spanish. The apartment setup works particularly well for couples — and apparently I’m not alone in thinking this, since couples consistently rate the location really highly. You can have breakfast on your little balcony if you’re lucky enough to get one of those units, watching the neighborhood wake up. The WiFi is reliable, which matters if you need to stay connected, and the air conditioning works well during those hot Andalusian summers.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to Málaga Apartamentos – Jinetes, 13 isn’t fancy amenities — it’s the authentic experience of living in central Málaga without paying resort prices. You’re genuinely in the heart of the city, but on a street where locals actually live and work. The combination of that prime location with the independence of having your own apartment creates something special. It’s perfect for travelers who want to explore Málaga’s museums, restaurants, and historic sites during the day, then retreat to a quiet, local neighborhood in the evening. Plus, that private parking situation really is golden — you’ll appreciate it the moment you try to navigate Málaga’s narrow streets with a rental car.
Malaga hotels keep guests close to Alcazaba ramparts, Soho murals, and tapas lanes in the historic center.

It was a nice little flat in a quiet street, not too far from the center (8/10 minutes walking distance). Lara, the girl that welcomed us, was super nice!

The best location. Clean and spacious apartments. The terrace is a significant advantage
Daria from Ukraine (8/10)
Most of all I liked the building itself. It was very nice and had a patio inside. It reminds me of old Moroccan riads😊
The apartment is comfortable and clean. We found enough dishes, sheets and towels. There is an electric heater and we used it at night when it became a bit cold.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances for cooking.
The location is also very good. We walked only 10 min to the big cathedral and Picasso museum. Of course, there are a lot of shops, restaurants and bars around. Taxi from the apartment to the bus or railway station costs only 5-6 euros.Magdalena from Poland (9/10)
Staff was very helpfull.
