The building itself has this modern, understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which I appreciated after seeing so many over-the-top hotel lobbies.

The room — well, suite really — exceeded what I expected from the photos online. You get proper space to spread out, which is rare in Spanish city hotels, and the layout actually makes sense. There’s a separate living area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought, and the bedroom has this calm, minimalist vibe that helps you unwind. The bathroom is generous too, with one of those rainfall showers that actually works properly. Small detail, but the blackout curtains are excellent — something you don’t think about until you’re trying to sleep past sunrise.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I really liked about the location — you’re positioned perfectly for exploring different parts of Málaga without being stuck in the tourist chaos. The Picasso Museum and cathedral are about a 15-minute walk, but you can also easily reach the beach areas. What really sets this place apart though is the free parking on-site, which is honestly a game-changer in Málaga. I mean, trying to park in the old town is basically impossible, so having your own secure spot removes a major headache.

Practical Comforts

The suite comes with a proper kitchenette, not just a mini-fridge and coffee maker situation. You can actually prepare simple meals if you want to, which is perfect for longer stays or when you find something interesting at the local markets. The staff keeps things low-key but helpful — they’re there when you need them but don’t hover around. WiFi works reliably throughout the property, and the air conditioning is quiet and effective, which matters more than you’d think during Málaga summers.

  Our stay in Sonora Suite has been amazing! We found the apartment to be really well equipped. We were traveling with our two children and appreciated being able to request a crib, and having a kids playroom within the building! We also loved having a big grocery store just across the street and being able to cook meals in the apartment. Alicia was a great host, she came to do our check-in late at night and took the time to recommend places to visit within the city. We’ll definitely be booking Sonora again for our next trip to Malaga!

  Apartamento bien equipado, amplio y con una decoración moderna y funcional. Climatización por aerotermia . Ubicación tranquila y en zona residencial.
  Además el aparcamiento es un lujo dado el problema de aparcamiento de la ciudad.

  Man ist in 10min im Historischen Zentrum. Apartment sehr gut ausgestattet. Hier fehlt nichts was wichtig ist. Wir wurden vor Ort in Garage eingewiesen und alles wichtige erklärt. Das Apartment ist sehr neu und auch geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es war fast wie Zuhause.

  Nous avons aimé la déco de l'appartement. Les équipements ( tout est neuf et moderne ).
  L'appartement est parfaitement insonorisé, et il ne donne pas sur la route, donc aucun bruit ! Appartement climatisé. Entrée Immeuble sécurisé par un badge et il y a un réceptionniste à l'accueil.
  La piscine est un vrai plus !
  Il y a un supermarché juste à côté (5 minutes à pied ).
  Alicia est très réactive et a répondu à toutes nos questions.
  Nous avons beaucoup apprécié de pouvoir quitter le logement à 17h pour notre dernier jour.
  La caution de 200€ a été remboursée très rapidement par virement, encore merci à Alicia, très professionnelle !

  Muy recomendable Sonora Suite! Pasados dos días estupendos! Gracias Alicia por estar pendiente de todo. El apartamento es súper cómodo y todo está nuevo. El edificio es súper moderno y tienes muchas zonas comunes (piscina, co-working, zona de juegos para niños…) El Parking muy amplio. Volveremos el próximo año!
