The Room Experience

The rooms are clean and functional — exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star place, but with some nice touches that show they actually care. Mine had decent space for the city center, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was modern enough, though not huge — but honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring Málaga, you just need somewhere clean and comfortable to crash. The air conditioning worked well (crucial in Andalusian summers), and I appreciated the little balcony that let me people-watch on Carretería below.

Daily Life at the Hotel

The staff genuinely seemed to know the neighborhood — they gave me restaurant recommendations that were spot-on, including this tiny place two streets over that I never would have found otherwise. Breakfast was simple but fresh, with good coffee that actually tasted Spanish rather than that generic hotel blend you get everywhere. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind, but it sets you up well for a day of wandering around the city. The whole operation feels family-run, even though it’s part of a small group — there’s attention to detail that bigger chains often miss.

  1. The front doors
  The doors stressed me alot since the keys were barely working and 4 out of 5 times I would get help from the residents i've encountered while I was struggling with the door for the past few minutes. The keys went in but it won't spin and I still have no idea why this kind of problem happened.
  On the last day of our trip we finally got informed that there is a switch at the right side of the front door that opens all of the doors at once. If we could have known this from the first day our experience would have been so much better…
  But this still doesn't solve the problem with the keys when you go in to the apartment.
  
  2. The water
  Sometimes it would work perfectly, but sometimes only cold water would come out of the shower. I don't prefer cold showers so it was a hard time for me.
  
  3. Overall the apt itself was great. It was clean and the location itself was also great. This would be a perfect place if those 2 problems above could be solved since these little problems kinda affected alot of my experience here.
